2012-13 Scholarship Application!!!
To apply for scholarships, select the scholarships from the main categories above and click on Add to Cart next to those that you wish to apply for. These scholarships will be added to your cart. Once you have selected all of your scholarships, click on COMPLETE APPLICATION. You will then be prompted to login if you have not already done so. If you have not created an account you will need to do this.
You will need to create a new account even if you completed the online application last year. When you are logged in you will complete the three part application form. Once this is complete you can then submit your application by clicking "Submit to Scholarship Services" at the checkout.
You may save your information and finish the application process at a later point. If you do this, remember to complete your application and have all required documents submitted by the final deadline of February 15, 2012.
There are also non-university scholarships listed for your convenience. If you would like to apply for a scholarship that indicates NO WEB APP, follow all instructions listed for that scholarship.
You should not hesitate to apply for scholarships under one or more of the available programs. Please read the scholarship information carefully and follow all instructions. Many of the scholarships have different qualifications, application procedures and deadlines.
If we can be of any assistance to you during this process please contact the Scholarship Services Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (785) 628-4419 or (800) 628-3478. (Scholarship programs, amounts and criteria are subject to change annually.)
You must meet the requirements listed for each individual scholarship you apply for as well as be a full-time student during the 2012-13 academic year unless otherwise specified. To be considered full-time, undergraduate students must be enrolled in twelve credit hours per semester at FHSU and graduate students in nine credit hours. Unless otherwise noted, students must have earned a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for scholarships.
Incoming freshmen and transfer students must submit current transcripts to the Scholarship Services Office. First time, incoming freshmen need to submit a high school transcript and include on this transcript, their GPA on a 4.0 scale, their class rank, and any ACT/SAT scores. If you are currently a high school senior, you need only submit your high school transcript, transcripts for concurrent college courses are not required for the scholarship application. Transfer students must submit a transcript from the school they are currently attending (or have most recently attended), and also need to include on this transcript their GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Application deadlines vary for some scholarships. Many have a priority deadline of November 15, 2011, and a final deadline of February 15, 2012. You are encouraged to apply as early as possible so that you do not miss an early deadline. Applications received after the deadline will be not considered.
Notification will be sent to applicants as soon as various scholarship committees meet and review the applications (usually March through June).
If you are unable to complete the online process, please download the application, print, complete, and send to the Scholarship Services Office.
