|This section lists those scholarships that are available to first time, incoming freshman only.
By taking the American College Test (ACT), an incoming freshman could be eligible for one of three scholarship programs that are based solely on the student's highest composite ACT score (or comparable SAT score).
To apply for one of the Freshman Academic Awards:
(1) submit your scores to FHSU through ACT by coding 1408 on your exam.
(2) send a copy of your ACT test results to the Scholarship Services Office.
In order to receive a Miller Black and Gold, Hays City Silver, Bronze Academic Award, or Copper Academic Award ACT scores must be received by FHSU before June 1, 2012. All freshman academic awards offered to students but not accepted are VOID after July 1, 2012.
